In addition, the SVCSC has a secretary and a treasure which are positions that are also voted in each year. The meetings generally include a guest speaker presenting on a hot safety topic relating to the construction industry following a wonderful meal!Įach year a new President takes over the duties of leading the group after serving the previous year as the vice president. The meetings consist of interactive discussions regarding safety in Seattle and the surrounding Puget Sound area. The Seattle Vicinity Construction Safety Council is a group comprised of management, labor, government and resource groups that meets monthly to discuss current safety and health issues and concerns.įounded in 1948, the Seattle Vicinity Construction Safety Council is the oldest safety group in the Seattle/Puget Sound area.
